How to use Lightship ARDK VPS on Unity

Lightship ARDK VPS is a tool for Unity that enables developers to create location-based augmented reality experiences. It allows developers to use the Lightship VPS (Visual Positioning Service) to anchor virtual objects to real-world locations, creating a seamless augmented reality experience for users.

To use Lightship ARDK VPS on Unity, you need to have Unity installed on your computer. You can download Unity from the official Unity website (https://unity.com/). Follow the instructions on the website to download and install Unity on your computer.

Step 1.2

Now you have downloaded and installed the Unity Hub and we have to choose our Unity version. The best choice is always the recommended version!

When you start installing Unity you need to select the Android and iOS modules. We need these modules to create our application!

Now that Unity is being installed we need to download the Lightship ARDK packages

Step 2.1

First of all you need to create an account on Lightship.dev

Once done we have to go to downloads and we will download the ARDK SDK

Step 2.2

Then we will also need to download several packages that will simplify the creation and testing of the project! We need to download the following projects: ARDK Example Scenes, Sample Mock Meshes, Mock Environments and Lighship Hub. (So You need to dowload 4 packages!)
